In our practice, we like to say that caring for your mouth can be compared to caring for a new car.  You can wash it, vacuum it, polish it, and park it across two spots to keep it safe and clean. It won't make any difference though, because eventually you still need to take your car in for service based on mileage.  In the same way, you can clean your teeth at home every day and after every meal, but based on your mouth, you will need a clinical appointment with hygiene regularly.  This is needed so we can remove plaque that forms on your teeth, regardless of how well you brush and floss.  And just like your car, you can have bad brakes or tires and still drive it without noticing.  But you don't want to wait for things like brakes and tires to fail completely before dealing with them.  It's the same way with teeth.  You may feel as if there is nothing wrong.  Early diagnosis prevents emergencies.  Eventually, anything used as much as a car over a long period of time will develop major concerns that need to be corrected.  Your mouth is used even more than a car.  You use in 24 hours a day for everything from breathing, to eating, to drinking, to smiling.  Just like insurance didn't buy the car or pay for its upkeep, dental insurance will not pay for all your dental needs.  Even if you do everything right, your car will need to be replaced.  The average person buys their first car at 18 and goes through 8 cars in a lifetime.  But we have good news for you.  If you look after your dental health, you can often minimize how often replacement and new care is needed, and you may need only "3 cars" for life.

Initial Oral Examination
Your initial visit is a time for us to gather as much information about your oral health as possible. The information we collect from digital xrays, digital photography and clinical examination allows us to determine the current state of your mouth. With the data we collect, we can help guide each patient in making treatment decisions which are best recommended for their specific needs.

Teeth Bleaching
We offer different whitening methods to help achieve the shade of teeth that you desire. We will recommend the method that best suits your expectations

We  fabricate all porcelain crowns in one vist with use of our Cerec technology. Using Cerec, we can eliminate impressions and temporaries and your new crown is placed in the same visit!

In just two or three dental visits, special thin laminates, called veneers can correct discolored, worn down, cracked and chipped teeth.

We no longer carry amalgam (silver / mercury fillings) but do provide tooth colored resins which can match any tooth color.

Periodontal Treatment

For patients with periodontal disease, we can provide non -surgical treatment (deeper cleanings) with the use of a soft tissue laser to help eradicate the disease process. We also perform periodontal maintenence treatments to keep periodontal disease from coming back

Mouth Guards
Whether you are an athlete or casual sports participant, you should wear a mouth guard to protect your teeth. Mouth guards are also necessary for those who grind their teeth or who have jaw problems (TMJ) We are now proud providers of Under Armour Performance Mouthwear--visit the link and understand how these specific sports guards can also enhance your athletic performance!!

Removable Dental Prosthesis
For missing teeth, we can make dentures or removable partials for you.

Dental implants are the most ideal option when it comes to replacing one or multiple missing teeth. State of the art technology allows for predictable, comfortable, and esthetically pleasing results. Implants also maintain jawbone, since jawbone shrinks when teeth are missing. Dr Silva is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and uses 3D technology and a guided system to plan the surgery ahead of time. This system allows for predicatability not only with the actual implant placement but also with the restorative phase.
